Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2010

Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2010 is the sequel to Julian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 where players enter a “hell week-style” boot camp packed with new features and energetic workout modes that fully utilize the motion capabilities of the Wii Remote and the Wii Balance Board accessory. Under Jillian Michaels’ expert guidance, players engage in lively one-on-one workouts featuring all-new core exercises in cardio training, strength training, and balance training superset routines.
The game features many new modes, including “Fitness Resolutions” and “Exercise with Jillian.” In “Fitness Resolutions”, players plan their routines for the next six months by creating a training calendar, while “Exercise with Jillian” gives players one-on-one time with a 3D avatar of Jillian Michaels that demonstrates pre-made or custom routines. In addition, players can tailor their workouts to their specific abilities by adjusting the game’s difficulty level, and ensure a safe session with warm-up and cool-down exercises. Players can also challenge family and friends in multiplayer competitions.

Cardio exercises include things such as: swing kicks, oblique crunches, jumping jacks, hip twists, water pump, running and cycling. Strength training exercises include push-ups, crunches, pelvic thrusts, side planks, side lunges, sledge swings, back kicks with shoulder press, boat poses and lunge kicks. In the new version of the game, most exercises enhanced for the balance board and you get to work out in exotic locations: from rugged beaches and deep jungle to tropical vistas.

Similar to the previous version, you can customize your character and input personal data to serve as a benchmark for measuring progress via the statistics screen that includes calories burned, weight, in game performance and more.

Throughout the game Jillian offers tips for lifestyle and nutrition on topics such as targeted training, maximizing your workout, gym alternatives, traveling workouts, snacking, eating out, food substitutions, and cooking. Also similar to its prequel, you have to work for these tips as you progress through the game.

This title is a vast improvement over its predecessor when it comes to the controls. A pulse bar appears on the screen and your moves are tracked by your timing. The game lets you know if you’re executing the exercise completely wrong, almost or if you’re right on target with a red-yellow-green signal on the pulse bar.

This game also includes the option to play in English and Spanish, which is an upgrade from the 2009 version.

This game offers a great way to get a high intensity workout in the privacy of your own home.

This game is rated “E” for everyone.
